Rereading - Books from the collection of the Living Art Museum

A variety of artist’s books have been gathered from the collection, from artists such as Dieter Roth, Jan Voss, Rúna Þorkelsdóttir, Þorvaldur Þorsteinsson, Philip Corner, Alison Knowles, Sigríður Björnsdóttir and many more. This small overview shows the huge spectrum of books in the museum’s collection. This exhibition will be in the Living Art Museum’s Limbo space, and will be open throughout the summer.

Further Reading

Further Reading continues from last year’s exhibition at Y Gallery A Reader and presents 7 new or recent artist’s books/multiples from contemporary artists based in Iceland and abroad. The exhibition will be a simple presentation of these books. The definition of an artist’s book is gently questioned within these 7 different responses to the medium.
